Dr. Kęstutis Duoba

Vice-Dean for Research at School of Economics and Business

Kęstutis Duoba is a Vice-Dean for Research at School of Economics and Business of Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), Lithuania since 2014 and has served as a Vice-Dean for International Relations at the same School from 2006 to 2013. He has broad working experience starting as a project manager in IT company, becoming teacher of economics, managing section of Economics in the National Students Academy for gifted students. Later on he moved to academia in 2002 and is contributing for KTU Digitalization research group as an Associate Professor. He teaches/taught courses Product Design and Development and International Human Resource Management for MSc students and Intellectual Property, Fundamentals of Enterprise Management for BSc students. Kęstutis Duoba has participated as an expert in number of different international projects and national business and research collaboration projects. He has led an international ERASMUS IP project with participants from 11 countries. He was visiting professor at more than 10 different universities in Europe, China, Japan and the US. He defended his PhD thesis “Expression of Organisational Virtuality in Different Lithuanian Economical Sectors” in 2009. His main research areas are cooperation of organisations, networked organisations, virtual organisations, virtual workplaces, and management of expatriates. 

Kęstutis is active in other non-academic activities as well. He is a member of Rotary Club “Dipolis”. He serves/has served as a Board member/head of two High Schools in Kaunas (KTU Gymnasium, which is the second best school in Lithuania, and S.Daukantas School (until 2017)).
