Matt Warren has over 20 years’ experience as a journalist and editor. Formerly a UK national newspaper features executive and editor of The Conversation, he is now the founder and managing director of Universal Impact, a subsidiary of The Conversation offering specialist training, policy engagement and impact-related services to universities and research organisations around the world. He is also co-investigator on the International Public Policy Observatory, which provides UK policymakers with evidence-based solutions to Covid recovery, cities & inequality, Net Zero and levelling up, and the author of popular science book Are You Thinking Clearly? 29 Reasons You Aren’t and What To Do About It.
This three-hour science communication course will help you to transform your research into compelling and accessible articles for the English-speaking media, and communicate your work simply to policymakers, businesses and other potential beneficiaries. The workshop will include a number of short, interactive tasks and Matt is available at KTU the next day (Tuesday, 28 March) for follow-up questions and guidance.
The seminar is financed by the European Commission (IN4ACT project).
