Recruitment process

The recruiment of ERA Chair holder will be carried out by the project’s steering committee led by the project coordinator and the whole process will be reported to the European Commission.

3 The application screening operated to set criteria and all candidates are ranked according to the screening score. M7 Criteria used for screening:

  • Scientific performance in area of Industry 4.0 management and economics
  • Excellence in management and securing funds
  • Advanced teaching coordination
  • Adequacy/competitiveness of the researched plan proposed (evaluated by a panel of four external researchers in the field of Industry 4.0 management and economics).

Each criterion graded on a 20 point scale.

4 The project coordinator provides all the applications, screening scores, and the final ranking to the EC. M7
5 Once the final ranking is approved by the EC, the first candidates of the ranking list (up to 10) are invited for a face-to-face or remote interview if they cannot come to Lithuania. Final scoring of each candidate. M8
  • The interviewers will be an assessment panel of four researchers from the KTU School of Economics and Business including the IN4ACT project coordinator.
  • All interviews will follow the same standardised format.
  • Final score of each candidate aggregate the screening score and the interview scores.
6 The project coordinator provides the assessment of all the interviewed candidates to the EC. M9
7 Once the final scoring is approved by the EC, all interviewed candidates are provided with their assessment and a contract offer proposed to the candidate with the highest final score. M9 Candidate with the highest final score will have 10 working days to provide an answer. If this candidate declines the offer or fails to provide an answer by the time limit, the candidate with the second highest final score will be proposed a contract offer, and so on.
8 Once the selected candidate has confirmed the acceptance of the job offer by signing the employment contract, project coordinator informs EC about offer acceptance. M9
9 The newly-recruited ERA Chair holder is provided with administrative support. M10 Administrative support provided to receive visa / working permit application, should it be required. Support in relocation or pre-employment matters.
