Recruitment process

The recruitment will be carried out by ERA Chair holder with the support of the project steering committee and the whole process will be reported to the European Commission.

1  Job advertisement is published  December, 2019  EURAXESS, LinkedIn, ResearchGate, the University website, and other relevant websites. Other networks: 

  • International academic networks (CESAER, ECIU, EUA, BALTECH, NORDTEK); 
  • Global Lithuanian Leaders (program “Global academic network”); 
  • Network of KTU partners (Universities in foreign countries). 
2  Applications are received  December, 2019 – February, 2020   Online application system 
3  The application screening operated to set criteria and all candidates are ranked according to the screening score.  March, 2020  Criteria used for screening – Scientific performance in Industry 4.0 management and economics; Excellence in management and securing funds; Advanced teaching experience; Adequacy/competitiveness of the researched plan proposed. 
4  The project coordinator provides all the applications and screening results to the EC.  March, 2020   – 
5  The first candidates are invited for a face-to-face or remote interview. Final results of each candidate.  April, 2020 – May, 2020   The interviewers will be an assessment panel of researchers including the IN4ACT ERA Chair holder. All interviews will follow the same standardised format. Final score of each candidate aggregate the screening score and the interview scores. 
6  The project coordinator provides the assessment of all the interviewed candidates to the EC.  May, 2020   – 
7  All interviewed candidates are provided with their assessment and a contract offer proposed to the candidates.  June, 2020  Chosen candidate will have 10 working days to provide an answer. If this candidate declines the offer or fails to provide an answer by the time limit, the candidate with the second ranking will be proposed a contract offer, and so on. 
8  Project coordinator informs EC about offer acceptance.  June, 2020  EC informed about offer acceptance. 
9  The newly-recruited ERA Chair team is provided with administrative support.  July, 2020 – September, 2020  Administrative support provided to receive visa / working permit application, should it be required. Support in relocation or pre-employment matters. 
10  New ERA Chair team starts employment.  October, 2020   –
